User decision 2026-11-06 (decisions.md). others/refs/ff6rewrite/src has functions marked
PORT: validated(1284 markers),ported, partial, dual. 1) tools/prior_port.py : print the ff6rewrite C function(s) for an asm routine with its PORT status line. 2) Inventory: chapter 1 routines reached (coverage) x ff6rewrite status x already ported here -> docs or others/ list; new porting order puts validated ff6rewrite routines first. 3) First batch (~30 routines): adapt validated ff6rewrite functions to our structure (game vocabulary, accessors, platform services, generated bridges via portbridge, house style, no goto), validate with ff6-portcheck.sh + groundtruth + fuzz; one shadow route replay at the end.Merged in PR #67 (
ac88ab4). Done: tools/prior_port.py, others/ch1-inventory.tsv (1 974 chapter 1 routines: 537 validated in ff6rewrite and not ported, 589 ported-marked, 740 absent), 12 field routines ported (party save/restore, object animation queue, sprite priority), validated by corpus portcheck, chapter 1 shadow US+JP 0 mismatch, groundtruth, portstyle 0, debug ctest 27/27. Short of the ~30 target: the remaining validated routines need infrastructure first (see docs/ports.md, Reuse batch 1: byte views of tilemaps and DP, ROM tables, RAM-map entries for HDMA bytes, unported callees). Next batches follow the same method.
